UK falls behind with illegal levels of pollution

As France proactively tries to reduce pollution, the UK lags way behind with illegal levels of pollution contaminating the country on a daily basis.

France has recently announced that they will be enforcing a ban on all disposable plastic cups and cutlery, which they hope will be in place by the year 2020.

Meanwhile in Scunthorpe the asthma rates are soaring. With a population of 72,514, the number of asthma suffers equates in Scunthorpe to 10,414.

Compare that to a major city such as Manchester. With a population of 2.55 MILLION, the number of asthma suffers in Manchester equates to 12,001.

3 people die everyday because of Asthma, which equates to 1200 deaths per year.

How can it be, that a rural town in Lincolnshire has an asthma rate so high, that 1 in 7 Scunthorpe residents suffer from asthma?

This is not an illness we can afford to take lightly. For the sake of the residents of Scunthorpe, and the children who frame our future, action needs to be taken.
