An MP will usually only respond to people who live in their constituency so make sure you include your full name and address.
An MP doesn’t have to take up a complaint from an individual however, public opinion is more likely to sway them into action.

If any country in the EU breaches the limits for major air pollutants, they face huge fines from the European Commission. The UK Government is currently in breach of these limits, however they have been using delay tactics to avoid the fine, rather than addressing the real issues at hand.
With the recent national reports highlighted under noise & air together with changes to pollution laws created by the imminent Brexit, the steel industries are lobbying for eased pollution restrictions to make them more competitive in the market.
